Without actually looking at the condition of them, it is impossible to determine a collectors value for them.
Any good bookstore will have books on coins where you could get an idea of their worth.
Also, you might like to try the following type of search by clicking on the following link:

Hello carolyn:
I did a quick Google search. I found out that the buffalo nickel didn't make its debut until March 4, 1913. So, the one's you've got are pretty rare.

Clough; Just like a yankee can't understand English; I stated {quote} That ex-con was right. Now if you want the story;? The Liberty Head nickel ,Known as the {V} nickel was minted from 1883 Threw 1912. There was some 1913 made but were not put in circulation
Some how got out of the mint. The {V} nickel was all so called {centlesscoins} First ones minted were minted without the words(CENTS), just the ( V ). and some people took and coated them with gold and passed them as 5$ gold coins. They were designed by Charles E. Barber There was () 1913 made , They were by by Colonel E>H>R> GREEN CLOUGH , read next one.;":

Question - what's it mean if one the side of the buffalo where at the bottom of the coin it says FIVE CENTS and there's an "s" under the FIVE CENTS. What's the "s" mean? The coin is from 1936. I have a whole roll of buffalo nickels all dated 1936. A couple have the "s" and then there's a few with a "d". What's the letters mean and what's the difference?
