I recently purchased a home with a large juccuzzi jet tub (measures 73" long, 36" deep, and I can go as high as 78" to my ceiling) . I would like to put in a new tub surround, however, I have talked with rona, home depot, and many renovators in my area and they all are telling me that I can not purchase a one piece tub surround. Most tell me to purchase two tub surrounds and simply splice them together. We do have a "Bath Fitters" company in the area and they provided the only solution however they were quite expensive ($3000.00 to be exact). I am shocked that I can't find any purchasable - do it yourself solution. Many companies make these oversized tubs, I think for sure somebody other than bath fitters must make these surrounds. Do you know of any products? Another possible solution that I thought of was a product that I have used before, it was called aqua floor and it was like a lino built specifically for tub surrounds or you could even do the whole bathroom in it (floors, walls, ceiling). Anyway, I can not seem to acquire that product here any more either. I would also be receptive to finding a product like that. Or is there a product that a do it yourselfer could even apply to the walls that would leave a tub surround type barrier?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ever Thought Of Using Cultured Marbel, You Can Get This Cut To Any Size You Need, It Is Also No Maintenance Like The Plastic Surrounds Are,
To Install It You Just Use Liquid Nails On The Back, A lot Of It, You Install The Back Wall First And Then Set The 2 Sides.
