View Full Version : Reducing my rental space

I have purchased a manufactured home, from the same community that I am renting a lot from. A year after purchasing the home, the owner of the community is putting a double wide next to mine. (That is not my business) However, what I believe is my business, is that they have poured several feet of concrete. (which will be consumed by the new model and porch and airconditioning unit. ) This is reducing my already small lot by at least 10 + feet. The Manager of the community specifically walked the property line with me explaining where my lines were, before deciding on purchasing this home. It was never mentioned at that time, (or ever) that a new wider model would be moving in and they would be reducing my lot size by 25%. One might add that if I don't like it I can move because there isn't a lease for the property. However, the lean on the home is held by the community owner and I can not move my home until it is paid for. (that is in the contract) I purchased this home with the expectations of the lot that I previously had. Not the reduced size. The contract does not cover this situation. I did not see any special claus that would allow this. Is this trespassing? Do I have any right in this matter? Thank you

Hello b:

Doesn't sound like you can do anything. You don't have a lease. You don't own the land, and you can't move your trailor. Bummer.
