I just received a letter in the mail today from the court and my probation officer stating that my probation has been extended by 3 months in order for me to complete my community service. I was originally supposed to be done on the 28th of June, and my original term was for 6 months. I only have to do 20 hours, and I've already completed five. I can have the rest of these hours completed within a week and half, done before I was supposed to get off. I go to school full time, work part time, and had many other probation requirements that left me little time until now to complete my community service. Can I fight this? My probation officer is a wench, but Ive had no violations, done everything she has asked me, paid all my fines and there is no reason to keep me for another 3 months to simply do 15 hrs. What should I do? I have a lawyer who I plan on contacting Monday morning, but do I have a good chance of fighting this?

You had 6 months and only did 5 hours of community service, at least they are not asking to revoke your probation because you have not done it.

So you go out in the next 4 days and do it, and send it to the court that it is completed.

Hello mis:

Get it done by the 28th, and then petition them to let you go.
