Synnen!! Hmph I haven't doe either, I guess I better get a move on my wild side, I thought I lost that years ago with all the other wild things I did??

shatteredsoul
Jun 20, 2007, 08:23 AM
I love to dance on tables and ride the bull! I only need two or three drinks to do that. Ha Ha! Well it's a good thing I haven't lost my wild side yet, and I dare say you still have it in you start!! I get out a couple times a year, not to meet guys or anything, just to dance and have fun. Like the song from Pink, I'm not here for your entertainment, you don't really want to mess with me tonight, just let me have my fun tonight, AaYYYYY!! If I lived near you start I would drag you out for my birthday next month!

startover22
Jun 20, 2007, 08:25 AM
Well I would go with you cause it is my birthday next month too! 17th to be exact!

Synnen
Jun 20, 2007, 08:30 AM
It's my anniversary next month! 6 years!

startover22
Jun 20, 2007, 08:32 AM
Nice Synnen, good job. The bull in my little picture thingy is from our first and only trip with no kids or friends on our tenth anniversary. It was weird but I loved it. It sure is hard to spend 7 days with only him. I know that sounds strange but that is how we both feel. What are we going to do when we are 85 and sitting inrockers?

shatteredsoul
Jun 20, 2007, 10:59 AM
YOu are going to leave him at home and go play bingo with your nutcase friend shattered. We might scare some people if we try to dance on tables at that age. Ha Ha. I do know what you mean. Maybe that is why I plan trips for two to three days alone, because more than that I miss the kids and stuff. Except for when we went to Costa Rica three years ago with my best friend and her husband. IT was scary leaving the kids but when we got there, it was so freakin unbelievable! The rain forests, and pacific ocean and the people! Lots of fun at their clubs, they are outdoors on the beach and no one litters. Go figure! Oh back to the addiction thing, I was lucky to never do hard drugs, Mary Jane was my drug of choice. A good friend too. Hard to say goodbye to and every now and then I still struggle with it. Well this is all about being honest right? Synnen, you could probably still drink me under the table because after three drinks I am wASTED!! Well sort of. You know. I like the bull, I was wondering where hecame from!

startover22
Jun 20, 2007, 11:01 AM
Ya, I am trying to be intimidating, Mess with the bull, you get the HORNS!! Ya right if any of you know me, I am no bull.

startover22
Jun 20, 2007, 11:10 AM
Yes you are right. That felt good to hear that coming from someone else! Thanks Shattered. Maybe we can take a trip and go smoke and drink and gamble and do whatever else we want!

shatteredsoul
Jun 20, 2007, 11:12 AM

I don't know yet... it's only 8 AM!

I'm getting my hair done tonight, though, and then we have to take the truck in to be looked at. The "check engine" light is on (yuck). So... this may be my last splurge for a while, if we need to look at getting a new car.

alkalineangel
Jun 21, 2007, 06:25 AM
I love bingo! We totally get wasted and dance on the tables there, the old guys love it! j/j

Isn't today the day you can make an egg stand upright or something like that.

IM feeling very scatterbrained and a little loopy today. I am not sure why... its like I inhaled some fumes or something... I just want to giggle.

Hello all,
How was the weekend for you fine folks? Mine was very rainy. It was a horrible weekend for our "girls only kid free" trip to the lake... but at least we got 3 hours of sun... lol... and I got to read a little. Still wish it hadn't rained as much.

curlybenswife
Jun 25, 2007, 07:46 AM
Hi Al, at least you got some kid free time that's rare comodety after all, done nothing but rain and storm here too :(

Synnen
Jun 25, 2007, 07:48 AM
It was sunny and hot here this weekend.

I stayed inside pretty much all of it, and read 3 books.

alkalineangel
Jun 25, 2007, 07:53 AM
I think we were more upset because we have been in a flippin drought for the better part of a month now, and while the rain is welcome, we would have rathered it have been some other time... its back to hot and sunny today.. lol. I guess that is just how it goes...

It was nice having no children though. None of us knew exactly what to do though.. lol.

startover22
Jun 25, 2007, 08:02 AM
Synnen, I wish I could get in 3 good books, I wouldn't care what the weather was like. Al, sorry it was such bad weather. Maybe we should go and kick the weather mans butt for you?? CBW, what did you guys do this weekend? Joe, I know the house has to be spottless now huh? I had a wonderful blast of a time, every time my kids ran out the door my Dad started another "meaningful" conversation with me. I loved it. Things just worked out, the kids did not want to leave. I told our youngest we were going to a "small" town and he asked how big the doors were there. I love kids. I have lots to do. The foster boys get back tonight, I want to get my work done. Hugs to all of you , I have missed you.

So glad your weekend went so great, it sounds like you came back happy as a clam!! Now back to the grind. It was nice and hot this weekend and I saw Fantastic 4 with the family. IT was fun. We went swimming but I still need to work on getting a tan!! I love it when I can read more than one book in a weekend, that is a great feeling. What books did you read Synnen? What are your favorite kinds?? Oh start, dads are so funny with their meaningful conversations but in the end, its awesome to have it. I remember the days of rolling my eyes at every word he said LOL

Synnen
Jun 25, 2007, 08:36 AM
I read "Demon Seed" by Dean Koontz, and "The Hero and the Crown" and "The Blue Sword" by Robin McKinley.

I prefer fantasy novels to anything, and romance novels for brain candy. I read pretty much any kind of fiction I can get my hands on, though. I liked the Dan Brown novels, and enjoy Stephen King and Ann Rice and weird one-hit authors like Barbara Kingsolver.

I've read the Marquis de Sade and Lewis Carrol's less well-known stuff. I love F. Scott Fitzgerald's short stories, and enjoy John Steinbeck.

I just like to read, basically :) I don't watch TV, so my brain needs SOMETHING.

shatteredsoul
Jun 25, 2007, 08:44 AM
Quite a variety you enjoy! I need to come raid your bookshelf!LOL I think that's awesome because when I watch t.v. too long my brain gets mushy and duhhhhhh!! Once you get going on good books, its like crack hard to stop. I hate it when a really good book ends, its like a friend moving away. It sucks. Then I got to start reading another one. Romance novels are good when you are in the mood. I too like Fantasy and fiction. What's your favorites of all time??

curlybenswife
Jun 25, 2007, 01:22 PM
I think we were more upset because we have been in a flippin drought for the better part of a month now, and while the rain is welcome, we would have rathered it have been some other time...its back to hot and sunny today..lol. I guess that is just how it goes...

My favorite of all time is the George R. R. Martin "Song of Ice and Fire". Probably. Ilt's 4 books long now (I really like series) and I've been waiting for the 5th for what seems like FOREVER.

I'm also terribly fond of 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand.

Yeah... I know. I'm pretty weird.

alkalineangel
Jun 26, 2007, 06:13 AM
You are'nt weird.. I like the weird books too...

curlybenswife
Jun 26, 2007, 08:42 AM

startover22
Jun 26, 2007, 09:19 AM
Luck duck! I will need a nap there are 11 kids here, but really only 9 cause my oldest had a friend stay the night and they can take care of themselves... Well for the most part, I still have to talk to them! LOL

shatteredsoul
Jun 26, 2007, 09:40 AM
Hey I am going to send mine over, they won't take up too much room, LOL! Wouldn't it be nice to have an adult sleep over? WE could do manicures, pedicures and stay up eating all night and gossipping about whatever? We could go TP the neighbor's house or something, or use shaving cream, I remember those days!!

curlybenswife
Jun 26, 2007, 09:43 AM
LOL I was a innocent teen didn't do things like that I was to busy with my 4 year older boyfriend giggle

startover22

Ooohhhhhhh, that sounds fun. I would love it if we could all get together.

startover22
Jun 26, 2007, 09:50 AM
We should get a plan together so we could meet... Do you think it would ruin everything we got going or do you think it would make it better?

curlybenswife
Jun 26, 2007, 09:53 AM
LOL well unless I win the lottery you won't be seeing me ;)

startover22
Jun 26, 2007, 09:55 AM
What if we came to you, I have dreamt that my whole life to go far far away! I guess I am kidding myself cause I would need to win the lottery too to get that far.

curlybenswife
Jun 26, 2007, 09:57 AM
LOL exactly start the cost of flights and hotels are just crazy giggle

alkalineangel
Jun 26, 2007, 10:03 AM
Well when I win Powerball at 350 million one day, I will fly us all someplace different... like... Jamaica... or Caymen Islands... that will be fun.. lol... who cares if we end up hating eachothers guts by the end of it, we'll be in Jamaica... lol.

startover22
Jun 26, 2007, 10:08 AM
That is the perfect idea. I will be with you!

shatteredsoul
Jun 26, 2007, 10:19 AM
I don't think it would ruin a thing, and I would dare say, who needs hotels and flights when we can camp or rent an RV!! LOL That might be scary being THAT close together. But the idea of meeting up would be awesome. I've never been to Seattle but I would love to go. If all those strangers on Survivor and the REal World can make it, so could we because we already know that we are nuts in some way or another, HA HA!! I would buy a whole island if I could and a jet to take us back and forth if I wind the lotto. Believe it!!

alkalineangel
Jun 26, 2007, 10:22 AM

Whipped cream and chocolate works well on all occasions, after children are asleep. Now I am hungry. I think I ate a hockey puck for lunch, oh yeah it was a soy burger, yuck! I feel guilty for eating Mcdonalds last night. After each fry I was like Oh this is so good, I am going to feel so bad when this is over!!

I actually find it amusing that more people in this world know me by Synn than know me by Heather.

My own husband calls me "synn" a lot of the time.

Mine calls me babe. Sometimes I go forever not hearing my real name, I sometimes forget it myself... It is so unique that someone has to recognize it if I posted it here.

Those are the most recognizable only-have-ever-known-one-person-with that I've ever known :)

Al, I don't think I am ready for that. My husband would s--- his pants if I brought on home... I am blushing again. I though that if it wasn't broken don't fix it rule applied to sex. Am I wrong? Oh my gosh I feel very out of the loop. Now I am wondering if I am the only one I know that is such a prude...

My husband was working in the office last night on the computer. He comes up to me asking where our box of wires is (a big rubbermaid box full of various plugs and wires) I started looking all the usual places, and then walk into the office, and he goes "Oh there it is"... It was laying open on the floor a good ten feet from where the computer is.. lol.

Here it is 12:39 p.m. I just ate a despicable salad for lunch, the whole time I am smelling my boss's food, chicken mashed potatoes and gravy and satueed asparagus. I am still hungry. Glad he found the wallet. YOu guys are on you tube too?? It's getting ready to pour soon.

startover22

alkalineangel
Jun 28, 2007, 07:25 AM

shatteredsoul
Jun 28, 2007, 08:45 AM
Boy if you could see me be pissy, you would think twice before saying that about yourself! I think there is my picture under the definition pissy, LOL. Seriously, I am sure that the stress can get to anyone after awhile. Being with kids all day makes anyone want to smoke. You love being with them, but when they argue and whine, even nerves of steel can get rattled from time to time. Boy, it is a rainy day today.

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 08:48 AM
I saw the new this morning, I saw it but didn't hear it. For some reason I was too dang lazy to turn it up. OR I just didn't want to wake the kids cause I was too dang lazy. I don't have any daycare kids, just the foster boys, we are so lazy today, I will be having a chore list to get done, they are going to help and they are Going to like it!

Synnen
Jun 28, 2007, 09:07 AM
Heh

The OTHER part of my job is answering phones... and its' month-end. No WAY are they letting me leave. But... if I'm caught NOT working, that works against me too.

I'm damned if I do, and damned if I don't.

I should have called in sick today.

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 09:09 AM
You SHOULD call you coffee thingy company to have them bring one to you for free cause you name is SYNNEN, if they don't they WILL pay! I really hope your day gets better. I wanted to smoke last night but was pissy instead if that makes you feel any better at all.

shatteredsoul

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 09:14 AM

I am so not being paid enough for this crap.

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 09:24 AM
Is there anyone around to see you throw the company emblem? LOL

Synnen
Jun 28, 2007, 09:27 AM

But.. that's the LEAST of what I want to throw. I'm crabby enough that I'd START with my computer.

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 09:34 AM
No, we are your support system, we go if you do that. Take a deep breath and think about a wonderful part in one of your favorite books, then take another deep breat and GET IT TOGETHER WOMAN! Hugs to you Synnen, I love it when you are crabby

Synnen
Jun 28, 2007, 09:37 AM
LOL... you like it when I'm crabby? You're definitely crazy.

Seriously... this is really annoying. They actually DO expect me to keep working. How, I don't know, I can't call anyone without phone numbers! And even if I had phone numbers, I have no invoices, or invoice numbers, or information on what they're for, so even if I COULD call, I couldn't do anything but say "Hey! You owe us 239084723 dollars! Pay up!"

Stupid!

startover22
Jun 28, 2007, 09:43 AM
That is stupid. I respect you sweet, I had a desk job a long time ago, I think it was the most stressful job I have ever had, including staying home with my childre, I am glad that is over!

Synnen
Jun 28, 2007, 11:42 AM
I'm starting to hate them. We get the holiday off, and that's it. If the holiday falls on a weekend, oh well. I kind of like that better, though. Then at least I don't have people yelling at me that we should be open on holidays because everyone ELSE has that day off. Like we'd be able to fit all of those people into our schedule anyway.

Sorry to hear you are grumpy CBW, I hope Millie settles down and your hormones get back in line... At least you have an excuse, I just am tired of the uncontrolled voices and yelling from the kids. I finally separated everyone I have them doing stuff that is quiet... I am still hiding and doing paper work to get my mind off other things. Poor Hubby can't even kiss me without me cringing. YOu guys will get past the initial suckiness and in time it gets easier. YOu always miss it in a way, but then you don't need it enough to do it again. Then it passes. Well, at least that's how it happened for me. Good Luck to all of you!
