Through an "open house" sign, I met a man who is a wholesaler. He said he gets a list from the court every day, of properties that are going to be foreclosed. He then contacts the owner to see if they want to sell their property before the bank takes the property back. He has purchased several properties this way. Does anyone know the procedure to obtain daily lists like this?

Contact a local title company - some provide those lists via email to folks in the real estate world as a free service (I get mine from Fidelity National). The idea is that they support agents, etc in prospecting for leads in return for the agents' business when escrows are needed. Even if you're not an agent it's worth a call - the right title company will want to help anyone who has a chance of needing their services down the road.
