My PC recently went very badly wrong and I was forced to use a recovery disc to start all over again.
Most things are working properly except for the printer.
I am using Windows XP Home and the printer is a Sharp AJ-2200 using Port LPT 1.
It was necessary to reinstall the printer but now it won't print. The last error message said it was a problem with the spool or spooler. Does anyone know of a way of resolving this irksome little problem?
Many thanks

Julian,

I'm new to this forum but, the Print Spooler is a subprogram under the control of the XP Operating system and is outside of the printer's control. The printer can talk to the spooler , but only wrt controlling data flow. If you are still having a problem, I'm willing to help out.
