Nearing age 60.Wish to have sex with wife aged 55 for prolonged period
I am at right side of 60.Wife 55.We have sex almost 2 times a week that lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes. Both enjoy very much.Is viagra or its similar advisable to use for prolonged sex?I have never used it in my life yet. At 30 I use to have sex daily. At 45 alternate days.At 55 3 times a week. And now 2 times a week. How can I increase the frequency and long period play?

Viagara would do the trick, but id suggest you don't need it!

Perhaps spend more time with foreplay though-however how can I give you advice I'm 40??

Talk with your doctor, yep, it will make you last ( may need to have O2 available to help you it lasts so long at times) Also the several pills available will help you do it 2 or 3 times in that night. * sometimes the first time is shorter but it allows multifple times.

But then since you can still go 10 min and still do it 2 times a week, a doctor may also not believe you need it.

I think it would be fun for you and your wife to try the Viagra type products. See if you like the effect. :D

Be sure to go to your physician and get your heart and other body systems checked out and get your prescription from a licensed physician!

    glad you posted.

you didn't state you have issues with ED, but its common that with age comes decreased strength of erection. I'm in my 30's, and I know it isn't what it was at 16. Steel piercing hard ons are wasted on young kids with nothing to do with them. Just my take. =)

so... the things that can improve the quality of your erection... one of the best things is exercise. Even among obese men, those who exercised daily see improvements in performance... so while daily cardio can keep your heart healthy and keep your body fit, it can also help keep your performance in the bedroom up, so to speak.

understand that all of the following can decrease libido and/or quality of erection...

    fitness
    age
    poor sleep
    high blood pressure
    vascular disease
    stress
    depression
    diabetes
    nerve damage
    smoking
    drug use
excess alcohol (tho moderate use might actually help... mixed results here)
    and more...

so... first thing is first... do your best to optimize your body, especially taking time to exercise. With men, any combination of things can compound issues with ED or decreased longevity. Personally, I think all men are somewhat desensitized over time to the beauty of the woman's body... when you are 16 you might not know what its like to be inside your lover, to taste her, to feel that rush. Over time... the mystery disappears... add up enough "hits" to the libodo, however small, and it can compound into a problem...

second... think about your partner. Talk to her about her needs as well. Postmenopausal women can suffer from delayed cl!toral response and reduced vagina lubrication. Depression in older women concerning sex hits about 2:1 versus men... so continue to be a giving and loving partner. Talk to her about her needs. The more you openly talk, the better your sex life will be. A recent study of clinical therapists placed the "optimal" time for sex, without foreplay, at less than 30 minutes. The point of this, in part, was to oppose the mistaken assumption that longer is better.

personally, if I take the time to properly sensitize my wife, getting her to hit orgasm with oral might take a few minutes at most. So... make sure you are seeking longevity for the right reasons. If its because the quality of erection diminishes too fast, fine. If its because your partner needs more time, talk to her and make sure she is interested in longer sex, or whether she needs different sensations.

third... if you are considering an ED drug, id suggest cialis instead of viagra or levitra...

while all work with similar mechanisms, cialis is retained in the body longer... meaning your body doesn't excrete it as fast, meaning you have a longer window to find the right moment. Men in a study who were given viagra and then cialis preferred cialis often for the mental release that comes with having more time to find the right time. A few thought its performance was better, but most cited that the comfort of a longer window of opportunity was the best characteristic.

as mentioned, talk to your doctor about the use of any drug.

O2, it is a joke, you last so long you get out of breath and need an oxygen tank (O2) before you get finished having sex.

I will note that yes clais is normally better, but your doctor may perfer one type for you, or give you samples of several types and see which workds best for you.

    Dear kp2171,
Thanks a lot.About the points that I did not mention.I have no problem in erection at all.No ED.We even at this age ,99% time reach organism at the same time.I have had days past in my 30's while our play could last even 45 minutes before the first ejaculation. All that I wanted as to how to retain for longer period the ejaculation, say for about 30 minutes as against 5 to 10 minutes as of now.Is there any tip / medicine / food for that .Having no experience on using Viagra group I wish to know whether it can delay the ejaculation or just maintain the erection even after game which is of not much use then.Because normally we lose interest after the organism. So what is the fun of having it hard then.At best just placing it inside (which she may not like) and going fast asleep.

As usual nearing 60 ,I have Prostate problem developing.Thyroid is 15 year old to which I take one 50 mg Electroxin tablets a day.If I stop that 15 days I get high BP which appears because of Cholesterol level going up.Other than that God's grace no heart problem,no high BP,no diabetics,no tension,no other health problem and I take no other medicine.

Your advice on excersie I am glad that you reminded me .I use to have it regular but have left it since 2 years. Thanks again I shall start it all for the result that you mentioned.Consulting a doctor for the Cialis is a good advice. But is it going to meet my need of prolonged play? If not, than why at all?

You just gave the answer to your problem above when you said you had a prostate problem developing. That is why your frequency and lasting ability is down. That can sure put a damper on things when that develops. Don't bother with viagra type stuff as that is not your problem and you could possibly make your prostate condition worse using that stuff.

Thanks. But I think I am getting my prostste problem slowly worsning but it has already been there for last 7years and I had no problem at all in my sex life.Untill recently ie; a couple of months back my duration appears to have fallan from 10 minutes to 5 minutes but no ED problem.
I shall visit a doctor for the prostate. By any chance if you know ,I have heard that after prostate treatment (in perticular the operation) one gets into reduced drive. Is that true Or things are going to improve?

I can't speak for all treatments... I understand that those getting treatment for cancer of the prostate can have decreased function... for enlarged prostate treatment, honest answer is I can't tell you all about everything...

I've heard some experience ED and sex drive issues sometimes in the first year of use... I don't know the difference between flomax and other drugs... I thought flomax mostly just decreased semen levels, but there could be other effects. Something to ask your doctor. I'm no expert of the different meds used.

My understanding is cialis should give you the lasting erection you desire... but are you saying you just hit a point where you have to release, or that if you try to hold back you get softer? If it's the first, maybe a condom could decrease sensitivity. If it's the later, I believe ED drugs could help.

As for alternative meds/foods I've bookmarked this site in a folder that seemed to be on the up and up... the only concerns id have is any homeopathic treatments should be discussed with your doctor first...

    Erectile Dysfunction - Natural/Alternative Treatments - urologychannel

Also understand one of the issues most people face with aging is hardening of the arteries... this isn't the same as atherosclerosis, where plaque builds up... arteriosclerosis is a "normal" occurrence where, with aging, blood vessels harden... and this can impact sexual performance. So... you sound like you are in good health and you plan on exercising. My point, I guess, is that issues concerning sex longevity or ED can be multicomplex...

And all you can do is all you can do concerning what you have control over. That mostly means eating well, exercising, being fit, and dealing with emotional issues through communication.

It remains sufficiently hard during those 5 to 10 minutes and till the release.Only after that it is softened. It never fails in between this action period. The only need now is how to increase the duration of the action period (say 15 to 20 minutes) prior to release. Is it asking too much at this age?If that be the case I shall prefer to be happy with 5 to 10 and avoid taking any ED tablets which might end up in other complications as commented by many .

But what I'm asking is you just cannot hold back after the 5-10 right... that you hit a point where you just must release... I think you've answered this with "yes"... that you are strong, but then cannot hold back.

Are you looking for longevity for your sake or your partners? If for your sake.. meaning you simply would like to extend lovemaking, id try different positions. If its for the needs of your partner, that's another issue... again, another position might keep you strong, but will it hit her needs? If she needs more time, well, does she self stimulate during intercourse? This can make a world of difference in my opinion...

So for what reason do you need longer strength?

Yes, investigate the prostate problem first and then consult with your Dr about the other thing. You may have an enlarged prostate that can effect many things especially erection issues. Good Luck!!

    LMAO!

Damn Milabut. Everyday in your 40's? Skeet. Im 22 and 15 minutes at a time is just right for me and my freshman concubine/girlfriend. Any longer than that and our nerves get desensitized, it still feels great but its on the down hill, so finishing at 10-15 is good. 5-10 isn't bad at all, in fact that seems about right. Hell, in the last week I haven't gone past 5 minutes and we're both getting annoyed by it.
