A/C furnace running, but heat pump fan does not turn
Hello, I have a Lenox Elite 13 heat pump; the furnace inside the house is running. But I notice that the heat pump fan does not turn. When I go to inspect the H/pump, I hear a noice coming from the h/pump, like there is power. Someone told me that it could be my run capacitor? I removed the Run capacitor (45/5mfd 370Vac), if I change this part, do you think my h/pump will work again? Please Help, the weather is TOOOOO hot.
    Thanks

If the capacitor is bad that will solve your problem. Without being at your unit I would say that is a good start. A possible test would be to take a stick or long handle screwdriver and spin the fan.Be careful. If the fan starts to run, the cap is your proble. Good Luck
