    What torture?
In what has become a tradition for the Obama administration, a late Friday news dump, we learned AG Eric Holder has dropped 99 out of 101 cases of alleged CIA torture.

    Just thought you should know.

    G'morning, Steve:

So, Eric Holder is a bastion of law and order, now, huh? You KNOW he sucks, and you've said it yourself MANY times right here on these pages... Do you want me to search??

If you said he's a LOUSY attorney general, and you did, I agree with you... But, now, since he's holding a position you support, he's wonderful... Well, he's NOT!

Let me ask you this. The ONLY two cases he's prosecuting is where the detainee would up DEAD. Dead detainees are hard to explain. You're not seriously going to tell me that NO OTHER detainee was tortured to the BRINK of death, but didn't die...

On second thought, you probably WOULD suggest such a preposterous set of facts...

Here's the TRUTH. You can't blame the previous administration for doing things that you want to DO yourself... Obama LOVES unlimited detention. He LOVES Gitmo. He LOVES drones... IF he WANTS to torture, he certainly CAN, and ain't nobody going to stop him - not NOW.

Maybe YOU like your country to be TORTURERS, but I don't.

Holder won't even prosecute cases he has already won, why should anyone trust the feds?

Btw, the charge is that of systematic torture by Bush. That is now more than obvious now that wasn't the case.

    Hello again, Steve:

I don't mind continuing the argument...

Look, as we've decided, whatever charges are laid or NOT, have NOTHING in common with what really happened on the ground.

I believe that under Bush, every single detainee in Gitmo, along with every single detainee in Abu Grahib, Bagram, and every one of them in the black CIA prisons around the world, were mercilessly tortured. To ME, that is systematic.

You can believe there were only two, if you wish..

It's not Holder. He'd love to continue the case. His special prosecutor John Durham's finding confirms that there is no case to pursue. That was after the Justice Dept already told him there was no case.
He wasted all our money on his crusade against the Bush era CIA.

Even the 2 cases remaining are 'inconclusive' .

Of course saying there was cases were good politics. It helped to add to the Bush hate, But most likely they found what was going to be prosecuted may still be business like usual also. I doubt if things have changed greatly, just another political party lying about what is happening.
