Can you get fired if you have doctors note for your absence
Hi I worked for a company for 2 year, within those to years I valentered and worked 24 straight hours many days, weekling getting form 100-115 hours a week in summrt time, finally when winter hits I started getting sick and I don't mean flu and something that nature, I was getting constepeted, and many times I bleed when I used washroom. Whet to docor gave me med got little better, a month latter I got really sick (cons)again, I went back to doc gave me excuse notice for two days I miss, few day past they accually had no work because slow period began. Came back finnally few days later did two or three jobs and last day of the week I was on call mean they will call me if they need me they called 7.05 am, we have 2 hours to get to work from time of their call or we are late, I told thme many times that some time in morning it' takes almost 2 hours to get there I told him I be there 9- 930 am as soon as I can make it, boss said OK. Was late 5 min the next day got fired. 2 days off because of my sickness and one late in one month and you are terminated all days that I took off were do to my sickness and had doc note to acuse. Called lawyers and they don't really want to take that case *** soon as I say companys name many lawers hand up as soon as I said the name, sorry can't do it and hand up.

It been 5 month that I am out of work, medical bills, rent, gas, elet. If past due date.
Lawyers don't want my case what can I do next.

In most cases, unless you had some sort of contract for example, they can fire you for any reason they want to.

Why was this posted in Pregnancy and New Motherhood forum? Are you pregnant? You seem to be asking a legal question, not a pregnancy related one. If so, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

Most US states are at will employers. This means you can be terminated for any reason, unless covered by a contract. So terminating you may have been legal even if it was unethical.

Cut the attitude "dude". We volunteer here, we don't get paid to do this. When someone comes here and doesn't even bother to take the time to post their question in the right forum, it makes what we do even harder, and it's hard enough already.

As volunteers no one has to answer your question. If you want answers, be polite and show a little respect. None of us need to put up with abuse, we don't work for you, we choose the questions we answer. Keep up the attitude and people will most likely choose not to answer yours.

You are SO off base. You indicated you were sick. Maybe that sickness had to do with pregnancy I didn't know, so I asked. All you had to say was you posted by mistake and I would move it as I have done. Or you could have used the Report Inappropriate Post and asked that it be moved. As one of the moderators of this site its part of my duties to see that questions are posted properly.

Second, please point out how my comments were "stupid"? Everything I posted was meant to help you.

So not only did you insult someone who tried to help, but you displayed an attitude that is not going to inspire people to help you. As Alty pointed out we are volunteers here. Any apology for your rudeness is in order if you want more help from us.
