How to remove drawer on metal slide
HTML Code:
I can't figure out how to remove a drawer. It is a custom kitchen drawer (the wood is marked KraftMade Cabinetry). The drawer has metal tracks on the sides with ball bearings visible. I have looked on the outside and underneath and do not see any latch. Pulling up or pulling hard don't work. The only markings I can find on the track are TAIWAN 0 4 1 1. Any help would be appreciated.<p>

Looks like the hard yank method. Pull straight out very quickly with the drawer initially positioned near the end of the travel. It will feel like it's stuck. You need a little momentum to overcome the friction.

I just tried again. I'm yanking pretty hard - any harder and I'm afraid I'm going to break something. It just bounces against the stops - doesn't feel like it's trying to move through a point of resistance or anything...

I looked again at your next to the last picture. Is it possible that the metal between the slide at the edge of the cabinet is spring loaded and can be pushed toward the center of the drawer?
Another possibility is the two holes that look to be an inch apart could offer access to the release mechanism.

Nope - that thing that looks like a tab is just the bend end of the receiving track mounted inside the cabinet...

The only thing I can see through those two holes is the end of the strip of metal that holds the ball bearings, and only then when the drawer is fully opened. When I pushing on this strip with a screw driver, nothing moves/gives.
The only other thing I have to go on is the panel screwed to the underside of the drawer; it think the screws that mount the track to the draw are covered by it. It seems crazy though that the only way to take out this drawer would be to unscrew the bottom (which is very close to the floor), then unmount the track!

Well, it turns out the slides had no disconnect feature! Both the slides and the entire drawer were mounted to the board on the bottom. I got a flexible bit and unscrewed the screws and the drawr came off, leaving the board still attached to the slides. After I was done with my project (cleaning behind the drawer), I put a sign on the bottom: "unscrew to remove drawer".
Thanks for your help.

I just had the same problem and mine has a lever on both sides that had to be moved up or down. One side I had to move the lever up and the other side I had to move the lever down. Looking at those pics, the first one and the third one. It looks like there's a similar lever, but you must have to use a small screwdriver through those two holes in the metal to move them up or down at the same time. Pull the drawer all the way out until it stops, then you might have to push it in a tiny bit to move the levers and continue pulling out slowly. :-)
