First, why would he "pay" his PO? The only possible valid reason I see for paying a PO is if they are paying restitution and the payments are being processed through the PO. If the PO is asking for payments, that's bribery and illegal.

Having said that, when someone is placed on probation, then have to adhere to the requirements of the probation or face being returned to jail. Its likely that he is considered a non dangerous offender so he's at the bottom of his PO's pile, which is why PO hasn't followed up. But if he's arrested for anything else, is violation of probation would land him right back in jail.

Do you mean pay the monthly supervision charge? If he has not properly reported in over 6 or 7 months the PO will more than likely obtain a warrant for his arrest and/or come to your home or his place of employment and have him arrested. He will have to attend a probation violation hearing but will have to wait while he is in jail for the hearing. The judge won't be very happy with him and it's hard to tell what his consequences will be for not reporting or paying for supervision.

    So many factors,

    What were the original charges
How long has he been on probation

But in general, he will go to prison for hat remainer of the sentence
