    1099-misc and 1040 ez
Do I have to file form 1040 if I have a 1099-misc income (box 7). Do I have to file Schedule C or C-EZ ? Can I just group the income from 1099 misc with my W-2's on line 1 on 1040EZ and attach a copy?

I'm paying taxes twice on income from 1099-misc?
If I have to report income from 1099-misc on line 12 of 1040 ( $1000 for coaching a sport)
And I also have to pay self employment tax on line 57 of 1040, am I not getting taxed on the $1000 twice? The $1000 is included in my income on line 22 of 1040. I can only deduct $62.75 from my total income as 1/2 of the self employment tax . Now my taxes are $88 higher AND I also have to add $125.00 as self employment tax to my taxes. I am now paying twice. Where do I deduct one of the taxes?

Please post all of your questions about your 1099 income in one place - makes it easier to answer.

I am unable to open your other thread (for some reason) - you are paying income taxes to IRS (and the State) on your income. You are also responsible for paying your OWN Social Security because you are self employed.

That's why the income is posted twice. You are not paying income tax twice nor are you paying SS on the same income twice.

No, yoy cannot. Form 1040 MUST be used. You will either report the income on Line #21 of Form 1040 as "other income" or use Schedule C or C-EZ to list your income and expenses and submit the schedule with the Form 1040.
