Where can I work at the age of 15-16?
I got a question, I'm 15 years old and I want to work. But people tell me to work at mcdonald's, chik fil a... but I don't feel that I want to work there. Where's a good place for a teenager to work except the ones I listed above.

Supermarkets, retail stores will also accept teenagers to work some jobs.

Because of your age, which means you have no experience and the hours you're allowed to work are limited. Places that normally hire teens for after school and weekend hours are grocery stores, movie theaters, and retail stores. Those are your best bets and those places are practically always hiring and are willing to train you.

Hi again, mexcelaya!
You might not like the places where you first work. However, working at them can lead to bigger and better types of jobs later. My first real job, outside of working on apartments that my parents owned, was as a busboy at a restaurant. Did I like it? Not really. Did it bring me in some needed income and also did I make some new friends by doing it? Yes!
No matter what job you do, if you put your heart and soul into it and make yourself indispensable, people are going to notice and your record of being a good worker and employee can have far-reaching influence in your life many years down the line as you continue being a part of the workforce.
Thanks!

So what your saying is you want somewhere to work... but not the above places.
And you would work bussing... but not if you have to sacrifice.
Well, then you need to grow up and realise when you come in on the bottom rung with no experience you don't get to make all the decisions. You have to sacrifice and do as your told. THAT is why people spend so long in college and furthering their education... so they can make the decisions!

Adding:
Also when I was 12 I helped this Korean nail shop owner after school. That last up until she moved 3 years later. If you can't get hired at a traditional job, try seeking help through friends/family or business/shop owners.

I apologize. My cousin turned 15 two weeks ago, and she began working last week at Braums.

You seem to want everything your own way (flunking gym because you don't want to change). I suggest you start realizing that you sometimes have to sacrifice to get things you want.

Another good place would be a drug store like Braums or Rite-Aid. I am a 20 year old college student with certifications and training and it was difficult for me to finally land a position that I was qualified for because of my age and lack of extensive experience. Right now a lot of jobs that most people never thought " they would never do "like work in fast food or retail are being sought after because they guarantee employment, and are easy to get after being laid off. I saw a report on CNN, jobs that most teenagers are opting for are going to adults because of the recession. An employer would want to hire a mother/father of three kids rather than a teenager whom wants money for name brand clothes. It's hard during these times. I don't mean to discourage you, but ANY job you land at this time is good, so you better hold on to it.
Beggers can't be choosers.

Adding: clothing stores at the mall
I did had a job at Walgreens and a Charlotte Russe clothing store when I was 16. To be sure, I think the best thing for you to call around before you apply.

What stores in particular did you call?
How old are you exactly, 15 or 16? If you give me your exact age I will see what I can dig up.
