Miller trailer furnace
We have a miller trailer furnace and it was running weird, so I did the simple stuff like changing the filters , changing the nozzle . Now it just will not fire . Could the eye be bad and not letting it fire or is it the transformer? It was replaced in 05 for like the 3rd time .our land lord has put us off because he said we have a wood furnace but its not enough to keep our house warm , we have a little one in the house and it gets pretty cold in here like 62. Please any quick help would be greatfull. Thanks Paul

If the motor and pump runs but it has no fire the transformer is usually the problem but since you were working in that area I would check to make sure the transformer is getting 120 volts when the burner is running then I would check to make sure the electrodes are set correctly and the transformer high voltage terminals are making contact to the electrodes.
I am sure you have checked to make sure you have oil and the oil lines have been bleed of air.

Did you also change the fuel filter? If so, did you purge the air from the filter canister before running the burner? If not, you may need to prime the fuel pump. Just a thought...

I have bleed the furnace ran good the first night ,when we woke up the next morning it wasn't running, so I hit the reset button all it did was put fuel in the fire box, so I swung the ignitor (transformer) out to test it with a screw driver and it didn't spark across the screw drive(ive tested them that way before) it was just an idea could the eye be bad to shut the transformer down I can't get a transformer for 2 more days . The eye I can get any time . Thanks paul:confused:

Apply 120 volts directly to the transformer 120 volt input and see if it sparks. If not it is a gonner.

It will run till you run out of oil or the next part breaks.

Just for thought I found a place online that sells furnace parts cheap, the transformer was 1/2 price compared to our local oil company. Patriot-supply.com great people to deal with our dealer wanted 90.00 plus tax I got this one for 32.00 plus tax and shipping still only cost 53.00 had to wait a day but it was worth it.

 I have a Miller oil furnace in my garage that burns very dark orange and sooty. It also keeps burning inside after the unit shuts down. I have replaced the nozzle twice with no change. The flue from the top of the unit all the way through the roof is clear.
Any ideas??

We purchased a modular home three years ago brand new. The furnace is a Miller. Three days ago the primary control went bad. Don't you think that's way too soon for a primary control to go bad?
I want to complain to the company, but I have no idea how to reach the people who make the Miller...

I have a miller furnace. It runs on LP gas. It comes on the ignitor comes on the burners see to light but the blower won't come on. Is this the mother board? I have replaced this in the past. The ignitor was burned out and I replaced it. I still can't get the blower to come on.
