    Washer/Dryer hookup installations
I am looking to get a condo but the condo (on second floor-only two floors) does not have w/d hookups. I was told it can be done (but I'm finding out for sure if it'll get approved by the board). Anyway, my question is does anyone have any idea of how much (estimate) it would be to install w/d hookups? I was told there would probably be some rewiring that needs to be done, etc. and there needs to be a vent (walls only, no vent through the roof). I just want a rough estimate. I was told around $4000-6000 and want to know it's that right.
    Thanks

Estmates are based on the ability of the plumber to be on site and access the situation. We do not give estimates for that very reason. You will need a trap and stand pipe (see image) and a drain to connect to plus a vent out the roof or revented back into a dry vent. The hot and cold supplies will also have to be brought over and installed. In addition 110 for the washer and 220 for the dryer plus a dryer vent will have to go in. Since you will be piping through common areas the project will have to be approved by the Condo Association. Good Luck, Tom

Washer Dryer Hook-up [ 5 Answers ]

I just inherited my sister's 8 year old washer and dryer (gas). The super came by and told us he would need to replace some of the hook-ups, for a total of $170. That seems a little bit expensive. Is that a normal price to replace the washer hoses, necessary clamps and valves, the gas line, etc?...

Hi, I have a standard washer that was plumbed into a separate washer and dryer room. I have moved and there is no such a room. As it is a good industrial washer I would like to keep it but it will have to be on a caster platform and rolled out to the kitchen sink for use. How do I hook this to...

Washer/dryer Problem [ 2 Answers ]

Hi I have recently moved my washer/dryer and now the drying programme doesn't work - I keep getting an error message. I think it may be because the hose pipe doesn't go far enoughdown the external pipe. Sorry I'm not a plumber as you can see so I hope you understand what I mean. Any ideas? ...

Washer/dryer installation? [ 2 Answers ]

I am very interested in a certain older home that has been remodeled. There is weirdness, though. The remodelers installed washer connections where the refrigerator is clearly supposed to go, and the utility closet has a dryer connection (about 15 feet away). I would either want to put the...
