Worring about fleas on my kittens!
Hi I'm new here  but I have a very urgent question and I am very worried about my kittens. They are only 2 weeks old and I have found a lot of fleas on them. I know I cannot use any medication from the pet store as they are to young. Is there anything I can do to to rid them of the fleas and also prevent more. Also can I spray my carpet with flea killer? Please help me and my children solve this dilema.
    Thanks laterdays:(

The only thing I could see doing is bathing them and going through their fur and cleaning them by hand. You can blow dry them if you don't keep the blowdryer too close. Good luck.

It never ceases to amaze me what you can GOOGLE up answers to. There are a number of web sites offering advice. Here is one from Australia. http://www.catsofaustralia.com/kitten_fleas.htm

I have had good results from using a flea comb and a cup of rubbing alcohol. I comb through the fur and knock all of the fleas off into the alcohol.

As far as the carpet, you can find powders that can be used to kill flea eggs and fleas. There are also flea bombs, but you, your family and the cats all have to find somewhere else to be. I find that bombs work very well. Hope I was helpful. Good luck.
