I know Hallmark is a waste of time unless you live in their state. They won't even talk to you if you don't live in their state. I tried them a few years ago.

I would have mentioned Hallmark, because I knew a friend from college who got a job doing calligraphy for them. But, that was several decades ago. And, based upon the above answer, contacting them might not do you any good, unless you do live in their state.

What exactly is it that you are looking to write for a greeting card company? Art work, verses, calligraphy, etc.? The three of those could be lumped into one as far as "writing" for a greeting card company. Thank you!

Twenty years ago, I knew someone who made a living doing greeting cards for (I think) Blue Mountain. From their web site, it looks like they mostly do online cards today, though, so they may have gotten out of the print business.

I'd check a recent copy of Writer's Market at your local library - they no doubt list greeting card companies. You can find their website here. Other potential sources for greeting card publisher names & addresses are Writer's Digest and The Writer Magazine.
