I need poetry lesson

I would like to know what the style of poetry that I like to write is called. It is similar to "Twas The Night Before Christmas", "Casey At The Bat", rhymes mostly about events.

I think that "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "Casey at the Bat" are both ballad styles of poetry because they tell a story that can be set to music.
