    Getting published?Where to next.
    Hey there,
I have written a couple of children's books as well as a novel and was wondering what to do now? Do I approach publishing companies with the books (which are not as yet books so to speak just printed ideas) do I need to format them in a specific way? Also do I need the illustrations sorted before hand too? Just basically where do I go from here...
    Many thanks

    Hi Kiki,
One good thing would be to get yourself a literary agent who can help you sell your books and also answer some of your questions. I've been told by a friend who has written about 25 books that it's best if you choose an agent who is a member of the Association of Authors' Representatives (AAR). They have a website that lists its members. Membership is voluntary, and some good agents aren't members, but if an agent is a member it means the person's a professional agent (not just a wannabe); also, AAR has a code of ethics and does sometimes expel bad agents, so being a member means something. DO NOT go with an agent who charges to read your stuff. That's considered sleezy.

    Good luck,

    Hello Asking,

Well thank you very much for that (excellent) advise, it all sounds very do-able (god willing(",)) and indeed achievable... so thanks again!!
