book agents

Is there a list of book agents and publishers on the internet with information about them so that you can know which you can submit your manuscript to?

Have you seen Google's deal yet? Might be worth checking out: Google Publisher Program.

I think wadeoncapecod's suggestion is a good start for standard publishing.

and you'll find thousands more googling for "book publishing companies"

And here's a couple of other ones that looked worth checking into:
Lulu.com

and

vantagepress.com

literary agents

I believe the post I sent ealier was for AGENTS not publishers And Lulu is a POD publisher you wont make money on them unless you have a good bank account and are willing to shell out alot of money to promote your book Publishamerica is another POD dont go there , I have been taken for ride with that outfit sorry to say , it is a good idea to check into agents that will work for you and dont get paid unless you get paid and that usallaly 15% of what you make .I guess just becareful who you pick and choose . there are alot of POD ...for you people that dont know what that is ,it's
(PUBLISH ON DEMAND) and then you have your (self publishings outfits such as Dorrance ,Whitmore and Author house ) to name a few , good luck
