Life outside work?

there was a teacher who worked in a elementary school who was a good teacher, even helped the school keep funding bc her test scores were high, but some of the other teachers made a big stink about how she was dressed outside of work. Some of the students complained to the principal that the teachers shorts were too short and was inappropriate for a teacher to be wearin (now again she was wearing this outside of school). Now the teacher like me was in her 20s the other teachers who were complaining were in thier 40s and 50s but you can imagine what she was wearing based on what every other 20 something yr old wears generally outside of work(you know tank top shorts flipflops) i personally thought what she had on was cute BUT i am also a 20 something yr old. The teacher was reprimanded and she went to on quit at the end of the year to go to a school that paid more and to a bigger place where she could have a private life(cant blame her). Now my question is how much control does your job have over you in your private life? I just figured her outfit wouldnt be a problem in atlanta bc its a bigger place and you prolly have little chance of seeing coworkers at the grocery store but where i live is a small town where everyone is in everyone business(i cant stand t which is why i am moving first chance i get). So how much control does your job have over you private life?

Dear TwinkletOes26

Your job has no (or very limited) control over you. Small minded people try to get control over you and all others ....
