i am in a pickle guys and i would like your opinion on what actions i should take, i am english but i am working in france until nexy year, but have been to the doctor today who signed me off for 8 days because i have 4 deep blisters on my feet - - - my job is physical and alot of running is involed so i cannot run on them because of the pain and infection.
i still have to go into work during these 8 days even though i have been 'signed off' and they are surpose to give me something else to do, the problem is- there is NOTHING else i can do, there is no other departement i can work in because i do not speak the language and working would be impossable so they are just making up some random stupid job for me to do, i could even leave work and they wouldn't even notice or care that i was gone because there really is no work.
Anyway because i have been signed off that means somebody else has to cover my shift, i found out who that person was and warned them out of curtosy so they didnt go into work and get told they were doing something unexpected- but i heard this person then about me coz she doesnt want to do the shift and thinks there is nothing wrong with me!
i dont know wheather to just go to work and say im ok and do it so i dont get gossip about me, or just has a misrable time doing stupid jobs in a language i dont understand, or just go home to england to see my familyand not show up to work?!?!? i dont know whats the best thing to do? i just dont want people to gossip about me because its upsetting when your thousands of miles from home
