What Song Should I Sing?
I'm trying out for this music group at my school and I have to audition with a song from Disney.
I have a soprano voice but I have no clue what to sing.
I am a girl and need a song with only a girl part. . .
Anyone know a good one?

A Whole New World--From Aladin
I can show you the world
Shining
Shimmering
Splendid
Tell me princess
Now when did
You last let your heart decide ?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over
Sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride.
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
A whole new world
A dazzing place
I never knew
But
Now
From way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a
Whole new world with you.
Unbelievable sights
In describable feeling
Soaring
Tumbling
Free wheeling
Through an endless diamond sky.
A whole new world
A hundred thousand things to see
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back
To where I used to be.
A whole new world
With new horizons to pursue
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you.
A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me.

Somewhere over the Rainbow is a nice song but is not Disney.

Did I miss something?
Where did it say it had to be Disney?

The word "Disney" is even in bold print.

OK.
That blue text got right past me! Looked like the advertisements that show up with our posts.
Guess I need to pay more attention to the colors and not just expect the posts to be in black.
Thanks for pointing that out!
That said, I'd go with Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious! (I'm sure I didn't spell it correctly)

Yeah the different colors and fonts can be harder to follow especially when the type is smaller

Like progunr said, the question in blue print blends in with the green-and-blue-colored ad.

She ALSO said it needs to be a woman's solo--no male parts.
That would leave out "Whole New World" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"
I'd go with "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella or with "My Own Home" from Jungle Book.
I think the second is a prettier song, and less usual than most Disney songs.

Some good songs have already been mentioned. I am interested as to what this music group from your school is, and why the song that you use to audition has to be from Disney. Could it be that this is an audition to be in a musical play perhaps?
Thanks!

This group is called Brighter Sides Singers and it's a singing group at my school that goes to different parts of the US and sometimes world to perform.. .
The only songs that are allowed for auditions are Disney songs.
