    Shaving pubic area?
What is the best way to get rid of pubic hair. Can I use just a razor, shave cream or oils? What about razor burn? Isn't the hair too course? I've always shaved with just a razor but Im afraid to use a razor for the whole area.

    Pardon my gender
Being a guy I don't have a whole lot of practical experience, but thought I could offer some helpful knowledge none the less. Waxing or shaving are obviously the most traditional methods. I wouldn't use any sort of depilatories at all costs as many contain very harsh chemicals, and many are not designed for use on sensitive parts of the body.
Getting a wax at a salon will allow one to remain relatively free of hair for many weeks, though as the hair will be in different cycles of growth, some will grow back sooner than others, and maintenance will likely be needed after a few weeks. It is also quite painful, however brief. Care must be taken to prevent ingrown hair as well. With frequent waxing the hair will take longer to grow back and will likely grow in a bit softer and thinner. With shaving, there is some possibility over time, that the hair may become a slight bit coarser.
If you are going to shave, simply use care, and never use a razor more than twice or so, as it will tend to dull very quickly making it more prone to nicking. Always use women's razors as opposed to mens, they may be a bit more expensive in some cases but are generally sharper being designed for leg hair use as opposed to facial hair. Shaving cream is likely still the best thing to use. Gel is probably better than foam. Soap provides relatively poor lubricity and can be very drying, as can any product containing alcohol. Never use a product containing mineral oil as it tends to clog pores, and please never use any product containing talc around the genital area as there have been studies citing a strong potential link to cervical cancer.
Shaving after or during a hot shower may help to soften the hair a bit. And lastly, applying a good mosturizing lotion prior to shaving may help to reduce razor burn a bit.
Trimming the hair with one of the micro grooming (trimming) devices commonly on the market nowadays may ultimately be the safest and most hassle-free, but would require the most maintenance.
    Hope this helps.

I use a cream, but you do have to be extremely careful. I did get some on a sensitive part once and it burned for two days!

It depends on lots of things.
How much you shave off, e.g. whether you just want to be able to wear small underwear without looking like king kong, i.e. you just do your bikini line, or whether you go all the way and have the lot off. Some men like the neat but still natural look, others like the totally natural Sherwood Forest look, and others think totally nude is extremely erotic.
Hope this answers your question! :)
