    Sharp pains during sex
Recently during sex I have been getting some odd, sharp pains. It seems to be in my upper pelvic region usually on the left side. Now, my boyfriend thankfully has a very large penis so I do sometimes get sore and have pain when he gets too deep but this is different from anything I've felt. I'm scared it could be a sign of an std or something else... could it be?

You should see your Gyno, I had very severe pain during intercourse for years, I finally was diagnosed with HPV, endometriosis, uterine hyperplasia, and cyst on my ovaries. If you are having bleeding also after sex or very heavy periods you should get checked. It could be nothing but it's worth being checked.

You could have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, you could have endometriosis, you could have a whole list of things but you will not know unless you see a GYN specialist. Pain is not normal so I hope you get checked asap.

I think you have retroverted uterus... Don't you worry almost all women have this kind of situation. Try to do some research about it...

I had pain during intercourse a few years ago. Found that I had a bacterial infection. Got rid of the infection but the pain persisted. My GYN told me to relax, use vibrators if needed, lots of foreplay. He said to simply have more sex. Well, it worked! My husband, too, has a very large penis, so we have to use lots of foreplay every time or it will hurt. See your GYN to find out what's going on, and have more sex (once you know what's causeing the pain).

I had the same pains and it was when my boyfriend was deep inside me. Then one day after sex I was in excrutiating pain. I ended up going back to the doctor and he sent me for an abdo ultrasound and found a cyst 4cm in diameter on my left ovary! I am actually going to the gyno today to see if it has to be removed. Hope I was some help!

I also have been suffering for years now and I've have had tests and tests and tests, I also had a laproscopic operation to see if there was anything wrong, they could not find any cause, and my ovaries are healthy.
I had sex 2 days ago and tried to breathe deeper to relax my muscles, but no joy its like sharp shooting pains, almost like I being cut.
I also suffer from reoccuring water infection, what do I do?

Well I have also had pains but they are on my right side during and after sex and it lasts for days to a week. I'm also not suppose to get my period until the end of the month. I've had them before a couples years ago but that was due to going "too deep". But my boyfriend now has a large penis but it doesn't hurt when he goes deep until we get into certain positions. This pain is horrible I'm having them right now and I had sex last night between 10-11 p.m. It hurts to move and breath, I can't sleep and I get these cold-sweats and I feel like I'm about to give birth though I've have never had children. Please I need help. My boyfriend and I are very worried this is not normal.

I just had sex with my fiancé I had her bent over, me standing up then I sat down on the couch and pulled her on top of me and I went deep in her and she said it's a sharp pain she's in the bathroom crying I don't know what to do my isn't small but its only 6 inches I'm really worried does anybody know why. Should I take her to the hospital. Is it caused from having sex when you have to go to the bathroom. Or is my a lot bigger then I thought?

Okay well I've been getting sharp pains during sex for 2 years now. I've had the same boyfriend since it started, I've always thought he might just be too big for me. In the beginning of the relationship I was fine but once it started it would end up to me bawling my eyes out bringing my knees to my chest. I went to the ob/gyn and I thought maybe I had a cyst or something and he wouldn't even give me an ultrasound all he did was poke around and put me on birthcontrol saying it should stop the pain. Well once I got on the pill I had side effects so I stopped and the pains have came back. I don't know what to do all I know is the positions I can't do; me being on top and when my legs are on his shoulders (which was my favorite until the pain started)... I don't know what to do, there's even times ill get the pains when I go to the bathroom. SOMEBODY HELP.

Just few day ago, my periods have ended. And yesterday when having sex I experienced some sharp paint. So after all I went to urinate, and when wiping myself I noticed some light red blood, which was obviously new. I never had this before! And Its been like this for the whole day>>? Does anyone know what it might be?

Yes! Me and my boyfriend have always had a good sexual relationship, I've never experienced pain before, but recently we had sex, and I got the most agonising, deep pain on my left side, it felt like I was being stabbed. We tried to carry on but we couldn't, I was almost crying I was in so much pain, so we had to stop. Then for about two hours afterwards I had severe cramps, couldn't move, couldn't go to the toilet, couldn't sit down. Then it went, but when I came on my period a couple of days ago the pain came back. I've always had painful periods but I was getting the same cramps, and when I inset a tampon it hurts again. I also have had a lot of water infections in the past six months or so. I'm scared to have sex again, hs anybody found out what the cause of their pain was?

Ive had many ovarian cysts and it does get worse with sex . Unfortunately there's not much they can. Do besides remove your ovaries.
