Recovery After Lumpecomy

I had lumpecomy on 10/6 after to biospy that showed begining of cancer in my breast. how long does it take to recovery from a lumpecomy? my tumor was size of index finger and 3 fingers wide. i am out of work still and it is 2 weeks and i still have pain and i am on pain killers. is it odd that i still have pain?

It's not odd that you are still in some sort of pain. Have you discussed this with your doctor?

As a medical professional, and a breast cancer survivor myself (bilateral radical mastectomy), I can tell you that these concerns are nothing you should be asking anonymous people via the internet. This is something you should be phoning your doctor about. Were lymph nodes removed? Were the lymph nodes positive or negative for breast cancer? What kind of incision was made? Where? What pain killers are you on and do you take them as directed? Are you overdoing yourself causing soreness?
