I am 18 and first had sex about 3 yrs ago with a boy and bled the first thre times I had sex. I didn't have sex for about 6 months and then started dating my current girlriend. The first few times we had sex I was fine but then ater 3 or 4 months of us dating I bled a litle every time we had sex... (sory for the details ahead) One night we were having sex and it got kind of rough and when I looked down there was blood everywhere... down my legs, on her hand, just everywhere. Why did this happen??

I'm a little confused - you had sex with a man and now you are having sex with a woman? No problem, just so I understand.

Rough sex, particularly if there is tearing or abrasion, can cause bleeding.

And it's called breaking your hymen. The hymen won't "grow back." It's a flap of skin. It might heal, it might be torn again, but it doesn't grow back.

If the sex is so rough that there is "blood everywhere," you really need to talk to your girlfriend. This can be dangerous.

No I am a lesbian. I had sex with a boy 3 years ago and then we broke up and I have been with girls for about 2 years or longer.

Now, rough sex can cause bleeding. You cannot break your hymen twice, it doesn't grow back. You need to be careful when having sex, rough sex can cause damage to the vaginal canal as well as the cervix.

The same thing happened to me.. like my cherry popped like 3 years ago and then last night this guy fingered me and there was blood everywhere... he was kind of rough but it didn't even notice I was bleeding until the end. Do you think he just tore the hymen?
