My period are regular, but this months been delayed 4 over a week should i be worried?

Ive not had sexual intercourse and this is the first time in 5 years that my period has been delayed longer than 4 days. I may just be being paranoid but whats wrong why has it not started is there something wrong? i cant be pregnant? will it come?

many things other than conception can play a role in a missed or delayed period. its not uncommon at all, even occasionally in a woman who is typically on a predictable cycle.

any stress lately? getting good sleep? good nutrition? exercising?

you stated you havent had intercourse so that pretty much rules out pregnancy, right?

remember, you can still be ovulating, even if your period is not as expected.

and for reference...

i had a partner who was pretty regular and then suddenly she skipped a few times. wasnt pregnant. i believe it was a combination of a little stress, not enough exercise, and her hormone levels just being a little off.
