Not able to get pregnant

Hi,
I and my husband have been trying for a baby for the past 1 year...no luck yet. Nothing wrong has been detected with either of us till date. All my friends have been able to do it in 2-3 months. Is something wrong with me? Have others also faced similar situations? Will I never get pregnant? Please help
Priya

Hi,
The details given by you in your post is not enough for anyone to give you a clear answer. I would appreciate if you can brief little bit more about you. Are you having regular and proper vaginal sex, are you living with your husband etc. are to be clarified. Further more you have mentioned that both you and your husband are ok. How did you check it? Are you getting regular periods? Did you approach a gyaenacologist to check your problem? There are many things to be checked before finding out your problem in this regard.

It is not necessary that you will become pregnant like your friends. You should post more information for others to help you.

Thanks for answering. Yes, I am living with my husband, have been having timed intercourse and know both are ok with detailed medical examination of both me and my hubby.

not able to get pregnant

Hi,
I am 29 and my hubby 30. We have been trying to conceive for the past 1 year with no luck. We have been in touch with a gynec and theres nothing medically wrong with either of us. We have tried timed intercourse and followed all medical advise. I know there is no specialist here but just wanted to check if any of you have faced similar situations? Is this normal? I am really beginning to get frustrated now.
Priya

That is what is preventing the pregnancy. Your trying too hard. Stress can actually impede on the chanches of becoming pregnant.

So what you need to do is relax. Stop stressing so much. Actually make love for the sake of making love. Just have fun. Enjoy each other. Stop the timed intercourse and some medical advice. Throw it out the window and go all wild and crazy. Oh and I tell this to everybody. It might work.

GO ON VACATION.

Enjoy your sex. Things others have said to me is. Oh well even though your still trying at least your having lots of fun doing it. Uhm if the fun factor is not there and the medical and timing is there instead it will not work.

Joe

Thanks Joe. Hope you are right. Maybe it will work when I stop thinking about it. BTW, I was on birth control pills for 3 years before we started trying for a baby. Could this have impacted? But I am ovulating normally so I hope pills have had no impact.

Yes, it could possibly have an impact but it depends on what type of birth control you were on.

Also you said you have been trying for a year, so I would not think that is the issue right now.

As far as my earlier post. I believe it is that simple. I have gone through it myself. Other people I know have gone through it themselves.

STRESS, is a big factor. Planning and timing and all that crap is stressful.

Making love, and making babies should not feel that way. (;

Priya,
Jesushelper is right. You are trying too hard to get pregnant. It should be a normal thing and you should not give that much stress and worry for it. As far your results are concerned your doctor has told you that both of you are ok. Enjoy the life with love, take the stress and worry from your mind, involve in sex with your husband in normal mental condition and I am sure you will get it.
