Sometimes it can take a while to regulate your cycle. I found this book very helpful in dealing with my own pregnancy/miscarriage::
Barnes & Noble.com - Books: Taking Charge of Your Fertility, 10th Anniversary Edition, by Toni Weschler, Paperback, 10th Anniversary Edition

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I haven't experienced symptoms like yours.

You need to go back to your doctor for some other options, the Provera obviously isnt working.

First, it is always best to know when you are ovulating if you are trying to conceive : American Pregnancy Association : Getting Pregnant: Ovulation Calendar

Hopefully this will help a little.

Other than hormonal treatment, the only way you can make your periods regular again is reduce your stress level. Take some time throughout the day to just sit and relax. Watch some TV, listen to music, etc. Also, if your diet isnt the best in the world, fix that. Your diet can also highly interfere with your menstrual cycle. And finally, do not over exercise. Over exercising can throw your period off balance as well.

Everything I have seen about it on the internet gives it a bad rating. It is said it is expensive and not effective at all

Don't use anything like that cream without approval from a doctor. That stuff isn't "natural" as they may claim. To be FDA approved, the progesterone would be so low, I doubt it could affect you at all, so the risks involved are not worth it.

You can't really "regulate" your period because its a little different for everyone. Less stress and a good diet is the best thing you can do for yourself. The best way to get progesterone (IF NEEDED) is to have a Dr. consider your symtoms and he/she would likely Rx something IF NECESSARY.... like BCP, not cream.
Good luck to you!
