    Inflammation of the uterine cells
Hi everybody! Ok, I have a quick question here. I just got my results back after my annual exam. The doctor told me that my pap results were normal, but my uterine cells showed some inflammation. She said that in my case this was nothing to worry about, happens to people frequently, and that I didn't need to go back in until next year unless I started having problems.

I was also tested for : STDs (negative), urine test (showed no infection, not pregnant, etc.), anemia test (ok), and blood glucose levels (ok). I have very regular periods, no cramps or problems whatsoever. No yeast infections, burning sensations, etc. I'm not on birth control or any other medications, nor have I been recently. I did have a slight discharge at the time of the test. I didn't even notice, the doctor did, but she said it didn't look like anything out of the ordinary to her.

At the time I had the pap test, I was coming down with a cold and was also ovulating. I was also very stressed at the time. I had a breast lump a while back, which turned out to be nothing, thank God. They wanted me to get another ultrasound just to make sure it was getting smaller (it was a lymph node), which it was. But, at the time I had the pap test, I hadn't gotten the results from that back and was worried about it.

So, could this inflammation have been caused by stress or being sick? Should I follow up with another doctor? What causes the uterus to become inflamed? Can HPV cause inflammation? I wasn't tested for that, but I think it is very unlikely that I have it, based on my sexual history.

    Thanks for your answers!

Hey, something I forgot to add. I read in a book that caffeine irritates the uterine cells. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I'm not sure how accurate the book I was reading was.
