I am a 26 year old mother of twin boys (4) and a 1 year old boy. I want to try to conceive for a girl. I always wanted to have a girl in my family to feel complete. My husband doesn't want one for two reasons: he doesn't want anymore twins, and daycare is high right now. I am on the verge of tying my tubes because he doesn't want another one. Can you help me.
well why doesn't your husband want another one? heres the thing if you do try for another one there is no garuntee that you will get a girl because of the genetics. its a risk you could take but i wouldnt tie my tubes...do you work?
try waiting until you're more financially stable, and your other kids are a little older. Having 3 kids that young has to be a handful. Maybe when the oldest goes to school and you don't have to pay for day care anymore it would be better. There are no guarantees that you'll have twins again, in fact the chances of having two sets of multiples is slim though not unheard of.
Maybe you could have another child (having a girl for sure though might not happen but it's worth a shot isn't it?) just wait until the time is right and use birth control instead of getting tied. (And if anyone has to get tied make your husband, it's a little more invasive and therefore dangerous for women than for men)
Anyway good luck with this question
Its worthwhile to wait. You have a 50/50 shot of concieving a girl at any point, so I recommend waiting until yourself and hubby are both ready.
Daycare is extremely expensive and once the twins are in school maybe you could consider it again.
