Hard bump on my earring hole
I had my cartilage piercing pierced with a gun almost 2 months ago (1 more week till the 2 months mark). I have stopped cleaning it daily and just yesterday I discovered a bump on both sides of the earring hole. It's hard, red, and it's bleeding because I think I scratched it a bit. It's located on the same earring hole on both sides of the ear. I'm not sure if it's a Keloid or just tissue build up because I got it pierced with a gun. Help please..!

Its most likely what happened to me. IS it a hard bump right around the earring hole, when you press it does it bleed?

It will go away with sea salt soaks, because I have or rather had the same problem with the red bump. It's actually common to get those on cartilage piercings due to accidental trauma of bumping it or changing it too soon. You could use a cotton ball, soaked in hot to warm water (however hot you can handle) and I put a little sea salt on the cotton ball and press it gently against my ear for about 5 minutes, but you may need to use another if it cools down too soon. Once a day and for a week to 2 weeks, and you will notice a difference. Don't pick at it or anything. Always wash your hands before and after touching it, and limit your contact with it. Wipe off the residue of the sea salt after the 5 minutes (from Yahoo answers).

Also you can use a saline solution which you can buy at hot topic and do the same thing. But the sea salt thing works great as well. IF you continue to do this and it starts to go down then your fine. But, if it gets worse, say it keeps getting bigger or puss (usually white and yellow) starts coming out then either go see you ear piercing or doctor and they can give you antibiotics for it. Hope this helps and good luck! Will be praying all goes well!
