2 Answers I had a bay 12 weeks ago, my first period after having my baby was very heavy and lasted about 10 days. I am now on my second period and I have been bleeding for 4 weeks now I have been to the doctors and the gave me some tablets to try and stop the bleeding it didn't work, so they then changed my pill that has not worked it made mw sick and gave me really bad headaches. So now they have put me back on the pill I was on and said there is nothing they can do, but sent me to have a blood count done to see if I'm anemic. I am now feeling really ill headaches, keep going hot and cold and feel very tired |

| I would go back and ask them to check and see if some of the placenta might have been retained in your uterus. This often will result in continued bleeding right after giving birth, but it can also show up for a time afterwards. | ||||

| If you aren't getting any satisfaction from your doctor, it might be time to see a different one. It's possible that you need a D & C (Dilation and Curettage) to clean you out. | ||||

The ultasound showed the baby face down & normally the baby is facing up.(profile of baby is normally upward as of downward)
