I dont know

My boyfriend and I are trying to get pregnant. I have been having normal periods for a while now, taking my mulitvitamins and exercising on a regular basis. Last month July 23 I began to spot lightly, stopped spotting on the 24th, and then began a normal period on the 25th. 12 days later I began to bleed and I havent stopped since, it has now been 13days and i am bleeding heavily like it is the begining of my cycle. Is this a serious problem that I should be worried about or should I just wait it out. I forgot to mention that I have trying to become pregnant, so could this be a miscarriage or something?

It is important to know a few things. What is your age? Have you used any form of birth control in the past and, if so, what kind and for how long? After I get these answers I can help guide you as to what might be going on.

Second, I don't mean to sound condescending, but we hear this on the forum very often. Many times it is young girls who want to have a baby and do not know what they are in for. So bear with me.

How long have you and B/F been together? Is it important that you have a baby prior to marriage. Remember, when it gets tough it is easy for the B/F to just up and leave you with the baby.

Babies are VERY expensive to raise. Do you or will you have the means to live comfortably once the baby is here.

I am 18 years old, I have been with Todd since I was in the 5th grade, so that would make me about 11 years old when we began to date. I have known him since the day that I was born seeing as though he is best friends with my older brother Marcus. I know it is expensive to have babies, money is not an issue, I am very well off. I have used the patch before for about 5 months when I was 14 years old. I am asking questions on here because I have been going to my Ob and she is unable to give me an answer.

If she is unable to give you an answer, I would find another OB. Honestly, that is what I would do.

I had a situation that if I had accepted the fact that the doc could not give I would be dead today. My situation however was breast cancer.

Okay, babies are expensive, yes, but there are many other things that go along with motherhood. Expense is minor in comparison to the other things that you will experience.

You are also 18, that is very young. I don't know about your maturity level, and I am not going to pretend that I do. So, again, bear with me.

I am a mother of 4. I had my first when I was 22 and my last when I was 38. I look back and see all of the things that I missed when I had my first. Now I do not regret that I had him, I am just saying that at such a young age there are many things we miss when having children so young.

There are childhood illnesses to endure, some serious like meningitis that almost took the life of my 4 year old, and some not so serious like a cold.

Again, I don't know you, but it takes a great deal of maturity to handle some of the aspects that come with childrearing. You may be mature enough, but this is a decision that will affect the rest of your life.

Look at it this way. You are 18, if you have a baby now you will most likely be a grandmother at the age of 36, when your child is 18. Do you want to be a grandma at 36? I am 42 and am not ready to be a grandma.

Just my take.

But I would surely find an OB who can answer your bleeding questions better. You have been off the patch long enough that it should not be causing you these problems, and I would find one asap.

Good Luck and keep me posted.

I would say 18 is too young to have a baby. I don't know your situation, but a baby is a big responsibility. WAIT

As far as the bleeding goes. GO SEE A DOCTOR. Bleeding for that long is very unhealthy. You should not wait it out. Get help soon.

When you make an appointment you need to let them know what is going on. But you do not want to risk becoming anemic by bleeding too much.

You should definetly see a doctor. A miscariage is very painful so I don't think it's a miscarriage.
