Do I have breast cancer?

About a year ago I noticed my brest being very sore. I pushed around on them and noticed that a clear fluid comes out when I squeeze on them. It happens all the time and sometimes that hurt so bad I have to relieve the fluid. Then in Apirl I had a three day period used to having the for 7 days, then missed May period, then thought I was going to miss this month put started Tues but its going to be short too. Whats wrong?

You know we aren't doctors and don't know your medical history either, so right off, I'm going to suggest you get yourself over to a doctor's office for a checkup.

You might have a breast infection, this might be part of how your body matures or changes, or there might be an infection in another part of your body and it's affecting your breasts.

Please make an appointment to get this checked out!

Thanks for writing back. I have gone to the doctor twice. She took blood test to check hormones and said everything came back good and she felt no lumps.

I am sorry if I sounded rude, but I would be scared not to, if it is something and it gets caught early, then many if not most times things can be cured,

I lost a wife because she refused to go to the doctor and when she finally did it was too late, in 6 months she was gone. Had she went when she first felt something wrong, she could have been cured.

But when things are not normal, if your one doctor is not finding it, please always get a 2nd opinion.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm going to try to get a doctors appointment Monday just so I can ease my mind about it. I'm only 25 but that does'nt mean it's not breast cancer. If you don't mind me asking what was your wife's symtoms?

Kerri, get a 2nd opinion if you have to. If this is causing you pain and has been a problem for a year, there has to be something wrong! Have you googled the symptoms? (That isn't the best way to diagnose yourself, but it does get you off to a flying start.)

P.S. I just googled your symptoms. Do you take birth control pills? Breast pain and a clear discharge could be caused by them. You may need to switch brands/types. Ask your doctor to check this in particular.

Thanks for writing. No I do'nt take birth control. I've looked at the symtoms and more than likely not breast cancer but I'm going to call Monday to get a docters app. and get another doctors opinion. The last doctor thought it was a hormone issue but did nothing about it.

Wondergirl agrees: Good girl! Tell the receptionist that you need an appointment asap. And be sure to let us (or at least me) know what happens.
