Deprovera Shot

I was on depo for approximately 5 years & didn't have a cycle during that time. My last depo shot was September 2006. Since then I now have a cycle again, but have not been able to get pregnant. How long does depo stay in your system? I thought that once my cycle started again, I could conceive.
Thanks for your help!
Mamie

My doctor told me Depo can stay in your system for up to a year. For me it only took 30 days to get pregnant. It just depends on your body. You probably just still have some lingering around in there. It will happen for you.

i've been on depo now for 6 years. my doctor said in some rare cases it can take up to almost three years to become pregnant. good luck to you though and if it continues and you are worried about it you should go see a doctor. maybe there may also be some underlaying problem. you could also look at the little book you get in the depo box. it talks about the shot and pregnancy.
