A Dancer with Broken Bones?

Hey. Im a dancer but as of recently, everytime I do a split my knee has an excruciating pain for a couple days, as if I had hit a bone or somethinq. I put Benqay and ice on it, and then the little lump below my skin goes down but I feel it again eventually. Did I mess Up my bone? Or is it the fact that I keep banqinq it on the qround? My dance teacher says it usually happens, but Im not quite sure whats wronq with it. I dont think I've ever heard anyone say they had a sore knee. Can someone tell me whats qoinq on?

it's probably not your bone. it's more likely one of your tendons or muscles. it's best to get it checked out by a dr right away. my aunt ignored her knee injury for a long time. it went from being just a little sore, to being so messed up that she ended up having to have surgery and even thought that was months ago she's still going through physical therapy and has to regularly ice it. best to take care of any injury, especially knee injuries, right away. if she hadn't waited so long and let it get so bad, her dr said she probably never would have needed surgery.

Altenweg agrees: The doctor is always the best bet. No one on the internet can give a diagnosis.
LearningAsIGo agrees: A dancer's knees are very important - go see the doctor without delay
