I have a question that I've always wondered about without actually having any concern about the answer because it's never happened to me. If that makes sense!!

I've always wondered what would happen if, say, you were on the pill and something happened that meant you got pregnant (eg. you had a stomach bug so the pill was ineffective) but you weren't aware that you were pregnant, and you carried on taking the pill throughout the first part of your pregnancy. I mean, if you were at the beginning of your pill packet, you wouldn't know you were pregnant until you got to the end of the packet and then didn't have a period. What would it do to the baby?? It seems like something that could easily happen, but nobody mentions anything about the effects if it DID happen.......

Just a curiousity on my part!
