contraception.but when?

Hi,

I do not have sex with my boyfriend daily.BUT may be once in a week we do so.Like saturday or sunday....The doctor has prescribed me contraception pills....could you please let me know when should I take it?

As in if i know he is coming home tomorrow....how many hours before having sex do i need to take contraception pills?Or how do i go about taking these pills?

Also let me know if I will have any future problem in getting pregnant

you take them every day. they wont work unless you take them at the same time every day. taking one or two every so often is like having nothing at all. and when I say the same time I mean exactly the same time.

it can take a few months for the pills to wear off once you stop taking them, but you should have no problem getting pregnant after then.

Didn't your doctor explain to you how to use birth control pills when he/she prescribed them for you?
Depending on the type of pill, you need to start taking them on a certain day (generally the first day of your period or the sunday after your period starts), and you need to take one pill each day at the same time each day. That's EVERY day, not just days you plan to have sex!! And also depending on the type of pill and when you start taking it, you may need to use a backup method of borth control for the first week at least. There should be instructions explaining all this with the pills.
