bump on labia majora

I'm an 18 year old and one day in the shower I looked down and saw that my labia majora was way larger than the other one and had a lump on it!!! I figured it was an ingrown hair, later that day it started to drain and I thought "oh good, it's going down" but the next day it started hurting much more and it itched like heck! So whenever I was in the shower again to check it out, it got even larger and my labia is really swollen. It is really uncomfortable and I have not been sexually active lately so I know it's not herpes. I just hope that this thing goes away and that my labia goes back the the same size it was. If any one has ever experienced this please help me out and let me know what to do???

You need to have this checked by your doctor. STDs don't always show signs right away, it could be a couple of months before you get symptoms.

It is better to have a professional examine this.

You need to see a doctor for some professional advice!

I know it can be embarrassing but honestly, they have seen it all before. You can request to see a female doctor if that helps.

If you leave it it may get worse.

I have found lumps around this area of my body. I went to see the doctor and was given anti-biotics which sorted the problem out. Yes, it is embarrassing at first but honestly you will be more bothered than they are!

Hope this helps!
