Brown Discharge before period..?

For the past 3 months, at the beginning of every period I have about a day of only brown discharge. It doesn't have a funny odour, and like I said it only lasts a day... if that. I noticed that it started doing that after I had a yeast infection which I treated with monistat.. which was just before I noticed the discharge. I only have it when I get my period.. never any other time. But i'm starting to be concerned about it.. is there anything I can do? Will it pass on its own? Or do I have to see a doctor??

Discharge is caused by the changing level of hormones in the body. Symptoms like itching, a strong odor, or a change in color (such as to brown, gray, or green) indicate that a girl may have a vaginal infection and needs to see a doctor.

Monistat is a fairly effective over-the-counter ointment for yeast infection, but If your symptoms do not go away, you should then see your medical provider for an exam. These infections can often reoccur; a woman's body may become drug-resistant to yeast infection medication, and the real problem is never treated.

Therefore, you should consult with your Doctor; you may require a prescription, cream, or suppository treatment from the pharmacy. A more precise treatment can always be made when samples of vaginal discharge are obtained for examination under a microscope.

Hope this answers your question!
