Bloody discharge sixteen days after a period

Hi there,
I had my period on 24th Nov then fourteen days later, I noticed a mixture of red and a bit of brown discharge when I wiped after visiting the bathroom (shortly after exercising) early in the morning. I am aware that some women bleed a little during ovulation so thought it was probably that. However, this happened each day afterwards - normally once a day and normally after exercising or after pushing to pass a motion. No pain at all. Then in the last two days, I had a smear of blood without straining or exercising but it tended to be more brown.
Any ideas as to what it could be? (I do have an appointment with a doctor for early next week but was just wondering what kinds of things he may say). Thanks in advance.

Sorry Julana, my work has been horrendous lately. Babies are dropping out of the sky. LOL

This very well could be due to exercise or quite possibly just a strange period. We all get them once in a while. You will have to see what the doctor says. Since he/she knows your medical background as well as the opportunity to give you a physical exam, this is really the best place to start.

Thanks, J_9. You have helped put my mind at ease. I was worried it would be due to pregnancy... Not that that would be a bad thing - it's just the timing would not be ideal. Thanks again.

Lol... I'm so sorry. I meant to say what did your doctor say. I have lots of dogs and tomorrow we have a vet appt. I guess I was thinking about that when I wrote vet. Ooops sorry.
