blood in stool

lately i have been having blood in my stool. and it's not in it .. it comes out with it as if it were my period but not coming from that place. what could it be? should i be worried?

Firstly we have to look at the color of the blood. If it is bright red it is most likely hemorrhoids, internal or external.

If it is darker in color the bleed is further up into the rectum.

If it is tarry or blackish, it is closer to the digestive system.

Either way, it should be checked out by your health care provider to be properly diagnosed.
