    Bleeding after intercourse
I have been bleeding after sex for two months. My period is not alawys regular, I stopped birth control pills 8 months ago and had a normal period for six months then 2 months ago I never got my period and the bleeding after sex started. I had a pap 3 weeks ago and it was normal. What could be causing this and how can I stop it please help.

You should see your OB/GYN. I know you said you had a pap a few weeks ago... did they test you for pregnancy? I would think they would have been able to tell if you are when doing the pap (the cervix turns a bluish color). Pregnancy could be the cause. There is increased blood flow during pregnancy, and intercourse can cause bleeding. I would ask for a blood test to find out yes or no. If it's not pregnancy you still need to be checked out. If you didn't express your concerns to the doc doing your pap they may not know what to look for. During a pap they look at your cervix, take a scraping, and feel for any abnormalities in the uterus and ovaries. Talk to your doctor. There could be many different reasons for the bleeding

Any bleeding in between periods shoulod be checked out by the doctor, I had bleeding after sex quite a few years ago and it turned out I needed a hysterectomy (I won't go into why, I don't want to worry you unnecessarily) because it hadn't been seen to earlier, get this checked out now, it may be nothing more than an errosion on the neck of the womb, but could also be something more serious, that needs treatment.
