6 weeks after having baby bleeding hasn't stopped.

It's been over 6 weeks since my baby was born and the bleeding hasn't fully stopped and never changed color like its supposed to. It was light for while then yesterday it came back really heavy with some very small clots but i dont have cramps. Is this normal or should I be worried? Ive been breastfeeding her this whole time so I don't think it's my period. Any ideas?

After I had my daughter I bled for about 8 weeks. If it concerns you get a hold of your doctor and ask about a DNC. it's a pretty cut and dry procedure. they scrape your uterine walls for any leftover things from the pregnancy and it'll usually help get everything else out. the "clots" are more or less pieces of left over placenta. happens to most women
