10 weeks after delivery- bleeding heavily - but still within guidelines given to me by my ob - no ememrgency. I have bled lightly once a week or so since delivery. Had an ultrasound that revealed a little bit of lining of my uterus still left. OB said it wasn't a problem. Am I just having my first period? My history is that after my first child I had a DNC at 12 weeks to remove tissue my OB called "deciduium". Please advise - I can't remember how long it took to get a period after my 1st pregnancy. Also had my tubes tied 10 weeks ago - don't know if that's related. My ob has offered another DNC but won't really comment as to wether this is a pressing medical issue, or just an inconvenince for me. If its an inconvenience, I can't take the time to have a DNC. -Feel otherwise fine, no other symptoms.

Have you bled the entire 10 weeks? If so, I would suggest a D&C

Tubal Ligation should have very little if anything to do with bleeding.

Are you breast feeding? This could play an important factor into why you may be bleeding.
