I just purchased a belkin wireless G router and have it hooked up to my pc. I want to run my laptop to it also. I would appreciate any help in this.

You will first have to setup the router. Follow the instructions on your manual on how to do this. YOU ALSO HAVE TO TELL YOUR Internet service provider (ISP) that you are going to share your internet via a router. OK. when setting up your router it'll ask for things like MTU number, username, connection type (e.g. PPPoe or PPPoa, etc) - get this information from you ISP. Thats your internet connection done... not the wireless bit.

Setup wireless: type in the name of the router (ur choice), set a security measure, either WPA or WEP (64 or 128-bit). I would go for WEP64bit (this is the least secure.. but secure enough.. and it doesnt sacrifice much speed) it will then give u a password.. Select the range (i would go for both wireless b and g mixed....select 'long range' if you have a slightly bigger house like 10K+ sq feet).

Your laptop needs a wireless card. Once its in use windows connection tools to connect to the router (you will have to input the password ur router gave u).

It should be easy and simple if you follow ur manuals to.. u did a good job getting a belkin btw.

This looks like a clear case of RTFM, time to read the manual that came with your router.
It is very easy to setup as you get everything you need to connect to your ISP in the box.
The easiest way to do this is(I wint give full instructions as they are in the routers manual);
1/ plug your laptop directly into the router
2/make sure your router is connected to your dsl/cable modem
3/Go to your routers home page and setup the connection
4/enable wireless
5/make sure everything works while still connected
6/unplug your laptop and turn on your wireless
7/connect to you router
8/job done.
